The reverse of the coin features a black-crowned night heron. It flies over the beach in Cow Cove and looks towards Sandy Point. In the background is one of the landmarks of this national park – the North Light lighthouse.

On the obverse of the coin, the first US president, George Washington, is depicted. However, he is depicted on the obverse of every coin in this series, even in the 2019 War in the Pacific Quarter.

Very few First Strike specimens from the regular series remain. However, we have a large selection in the silver proof variation and the 50th Anniversary Set. The latter, by the way, is the most expensive of the irregular strikes.

However, if you are looking for more valuable specimens, we recommend paying attention to error coins, such as the double die or off-center strike.
Conclusion
Well, we've determined the Block Island quarter worth. This issue is truly interesting. Firstly, it doesn't have as many First Strike examples as other coins in this program. However, the Proof version is quite widely available and accessible. We would recommend purchasing the 50th Anniversary Set Proof or from the regular strike from Philadelphia.
