6 Euros First Man on the Moon, Greece

The design features lyrics from the novel A True Story written by the Greek lyric poet Lucian of Samosata (125 180 AC). The lyrics describe the first travel of man in moon and the novel is considered as the first known text that could be called science fiction. The lyrics design is partly encircled by the denomination 6 EURO in Greek and the engravers monogram.

The design contains a colored depiction of earth as seen from the surface of the moon. The Greek Coat of Arms is placed on the right and the issue year "2019" is shown above it. The text "50 YEARS FROM THE FIRST MAN ON THE MOON" in Greek, along with the palmette, the symbol of the Hellenic Mint, encircles the design.
