The Royal Arms has a quartered shield with the individual coat of arms for England, Scotland, and Ireland. The shield is topped by an Imperial Crown with the heraldic Lion of England and Unicorn of Scotland supporting it. The design includes a smaller shield beneath the Royal Arms that depicts the coat of arms of Gibraltar, a design with the castle of Gules that has a chain and key hanging around it.
