There is a composition depicting a circle divided by the wind rose into four parts symbolizing classes of mammalian, birds, fishes and amphibious, which are represented in the zoo; above there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (left, in semicircle), beneath: 2/ ГРИВНІ 2008 (2/Hryvnia 2008) and the NBU Mint logotype.
