This coin is designed by Canadian artist Aries Cheungand features a beautiful stylized design of a phoenix and circular sun that bears the Chinese symbolsfor peace. Three graceful tail feathers flow out from behind the bird, each one designed with depth and beauty. Above the phoenix is a stylized sky filled with swirling peony-like clouds.The scalloped outer band of the reverse image is engraved with the word CANADA, the Chinese characters for CANADA, the date 2013 and the face value of 150 DOLLARS.
