10 Hryven XXIV Winter Olympic Games, Ukraine

Against the backdrop of a stylized outline of a sheet of paper is a composition symbolizing the country that hosts the XXIV Winter Olympic Games China, which has an ancient culture, one element of which is paper; in the center is a map of Beijing with pictograms of a snowboarder and a figure skater; to the right of the composition is a fan an integral part of traditional Chinese culture, the first records of fans date back to between the 4th and the 2nd centuries BCE. In addition, the reverse features a snowflake (beneath), and the logotype of the National Olympic Comittee of Ukraine (to the left), above which are a dragons head and flames a symbol of the Olympic Games.

Above is Ukraine’s small coat of arms, below which is the semicircular legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine); in the center in a smooth circle is a pad-printed head of a dragon, which is the main character of many ancient legends, myths, fairy tales and one of the most famous symbols of China; in the center is also the legend 2022 stylized to look like a snake-like dragon covered with scales; to the left and right are the four pictograms symbolizing Olympic sports; beneath are the coin’s face value 10 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia.
