10 Euros Battle of Crete, Greece

The design depicts two soldiers, one with traditional Greek uniform battling in front of the Greek flag while standing in a depiction of the outline of the island of Crete. Above them, planes flying and paratroopers landing. Encircling the design its written 80 YEARS FROM THE BATTLE OF CRETE (in Greek) and on the bottom left is the signature of the engraver and at the bottom right is the mint mark of the Hellenic mint.
