The Tudor Beasts coin series was started in 2022 and continues to this day. The idea for the collection originated as a follow-up to the successful Queen's Beasts series, which immortalized ten heraldic beasts associated with Queen Elizabeth II. The series now comprises 10 coins, with each of the royal Tudor beasts silver coins dedicated to a particular beast and heraldic symbol of the Tudor dynasty, especially Henry VIII (who used heraldry to assert his power).

The Tudors, one of England's most powerful royal dynasties, ruled from 1485 to 1603, managed to consolidate their influence by combining in their coats of arms and symbols the dynastic heritage of the two great houses of Lancaster and York.

So, each animal behind the coins in this series symbolizes the power and majesty of the royal family, as well as has a deep meaning connected to the history of England. Each coin depicts one of the ten animals that adorned Hampton Court Palace. These majestic beasts were symbols of strength, wisdom, loyalty and power.

The Seymour Panther (2022)

The first coin in the series shows the Seymour Panther beaming fire from its mouth. The panther's neck is adorned with a crown of jewels, symbolizing the wealth and status of the Seymour family.  The animal is a symbol of purity, power and dynastic authority. This animal was associated with Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII (whose descendants left a significant mark on British history).

Obverse: The obverse of the coin features the latest portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark, which has been used on UK coins since 2015.

The Lion of England (2022)

The 2 oz Tudor Beasts Lion of England silver coin is probably the most easily recognizable coin in the series, as the lion is also one of the highly related symbols of the British monarchy. It represents strength, courage and power. The lion holds a shield depicting the Three Lions, which has been part of the royal coat of arms for centuries.

Obverse: similar to the 1st coin and depicts the last portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Yale of Beaufort (2023)

The Beaufort Yale is a mythical animal with the body of a goat and tusks that, according to legend, can move in any direction, making it a symbol of strength and defense of the Beaufort family against any enemies. Yale was used in the coat of arms of Margaret Beaufort (mother of Henry VII), emphasizing her important role in the Tudor dynasty.

Obverse: Still shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, like the first coin in the series.

The Bull of Clarence (2023)

The bull of Clarence represents the power and strength of the House of York, to which George, Duke of Clarence, brother of Edward IV and Richard III, belonged. This strong animal with a waving flag symbolizes their heritage and the struggle for the throne.

The Seymour Unicorn (2024)

Tudor Dragon (2024)
